The price is a bit high and the food is not bad but again the atmosphere and FUN factor are what you pay for. We have been to the Shawnee location and it is pretty much the same a little less exciting.Īnother place for kids would be T-Rex in the Legends ( Kansas City Kansas by the Speedway), it is fun, animatronic dinosaurs and you can't beat the atmosphere. The Crown Center location is where we usually go and even if there is a line it goes pretty quickly. We have a 3 year old and I can second the whole Fritz's sentiment, food is OK but the atmosphere and the fact that trains deliver your food tableside will have the kids excited.

The same meal can be had at cracker barrel for half the price. For 15.99 a plate, i didnt think the value was all that great. Personally i think Strouds is overrated, the chicken has no real spices or anything to it, the sides are canned green beans and some mediocre mashed potatoes, the cinnamon rolls were awful as well. These are all inexpensive and kid friendly placesĭepending on where you stay, all of these places are really close to crown center.Ĭrown Center is a perfect mall for kids, it's not good if you are looking for gap clothes, it's similar to the St Louis Union Station Mall or Atlanta Underground. Some other unique places are Grinders Pizza, dog novo, lulu's noodles, town topic burgers. The sandwiches are okay, the potato soup is excellent. They have the absolute best Chocolate Chip cookies ever. Not many know this but it's actually the oldest Irish run business in North America.
Since it's march, and St Pattys is in the Air, you should visit Browne's Irish Market and Deli.
